Maile and I have been wanting to make bibimbap at home since she was 2 years old. We used to read a book from the library about this little girl who cooked bibimbap with her grandmother and they had so much fun! We’ll, tonight we did it!! We shopped at H-Mart together, planned the meal and executed it following a recipe from a Korean cooking website. It came out PERFECT!!! Just like at Dae Gee!! Smelled right, looked right and tasted right. We made an amazing discovery during the process too...we found a sesame oil alternative that tastes lime sesame but is from a plant called perilla which turns out to actually be on the top 4 list of plants that helps reduce allergies in people with sever allergies! It’s been out there this whole time...sitting in the Asian market right next to the sesame seed oil and we just never noticed it before. We also made beef galbi and it was also delish. Enjoy the photos!
Looks amazing! Nice job. Now you need to share the recipe and/or pointers
